Using Signify by System
A 'drop-in replacement' for passwords
Whatever type of application you are using, you can think of the Signify service as simply a 'drop-in replacement' for local passwords for any of the following systems:
- VPN: all firewalls IPSEC and SSL VPN systems
- RAS: all types of remote access servers
- Roaming access: ISP and Global Roaming services
- 'Thin Client' and Server Based Computing: Citrix etc
- Wireless: WiFi access points & hotspots
- Web servers: all popular web servers & proxies
- Business Portals and Client Extranets
- Web-enabled email: OWA, iNotes, GroupWise etc
- Web services and apps: Java, PHP, PERL, ASP, .Net etc
- Remote Control Tools for IT Systems Management
How Signify plugs into your systems
The Signify service communicates with the key systems or 'Authentication Nodes' in your network where you challenge users to authenticate.
Any system which supports either the open standard RADIUS and 802.1x protocols or the native RSA SecurID Agent can quickly be configured as a Signify Authentication Node.
