Signify makes it easy for the customer to retain full control over which of their end users have permission to request access to their sensitive systems, and which of their staff have the higher level authority to manage those end users and systems.
Being a fully web-based management system, which uses strong authentication to identify users and creates an authorisation architecture which allows fine grained, role based administration; the Identity Management Centre(IMC) provides a system in which different roles can be delegated to a range of administrators by managers without those individuals requiring any special client software on their desktop, or any technical knowledge.
This means that any business manager who is responsible for making decisions about users and their access privileges can implement those decisions directly themselves, or they can have a trusted, non-technical administrator make the necessary changes without having to make a request to technical staff who are typically overworked and may not be fully trusted.
For example:
An HR manager can remove a staff member’s access rights to all systems before giving that person their redundancy notice; without needing to ‘go cap in hand’ to an IT guru to have the change made (an action that normally gets the gossip going round the company that someone is about to be fired!)
