Integration

Linux

You can add standard RADIUS libraries to the PAM infrastructure within Linux to add strong authentication into any application that supports PAM (such as SSH, Telnet etc).  These can be obtained from your regular Linux distribution points.  Existing customers who need guidance on where to obtain the PAM RADIUS module, or how to integrate it into your infrastructure, please contact the Signify helpdesk.

RADIUS

Most auth nodes, for example VPN servers, dial-in servers, routers etc support RADIUS as a native authentication protocol.  RADIUS can also be used within applications as an open standard authentication protocol to add support for a wide range of authentication technologies (including all of Signify's service offerings) into your own applications.

If you are a developer of a software application and you wish to add RADIUS support into your application, there are a number of tools that may be of use to you, depending upon the language you are developing in.  These are from third party developers - Signify does not recommend any specific package in this space, the ones listed below have been successfully used by existing Signify customers.  In some cases there will be a license fee due to the developer:

  • Java(Available as binary for approx 120 USD, or as source code for approx 600 USD, from AXL Software)
  • COM Object  (Available as binary for approx 1000 USD per server, from Vircom)
  • There are a number of Perl Modules for implementing a RADIUS client into your Perl application available from: http://search.cpan.org/search?query=radius&mode=all
