Signify appoints Paul Allen to support growing channel

21 July 2010

Paul Allen has been appointed channel account manager at Cambridge-based Signify, a vendor of secure two-factor authentication (2FA) hosted services. Allen will be focusing on developing Signify's partner channel programme to meet growing demand for 2FA and strengthening the company's position as a key player in the emerging market for value-added cloud security services.

Allen has over 20 years experience in IT and telecommunications and most recently was managing IT recruitment consultancies with a focus on the information security industry. Prior to this, he worked as a network specialist, beginning at the Royal Corps of Signals, which included tours in Germany and the Gulf and then working for global internet service provider UUNet.

"We are delighted to welcome Paul on board to further develop and support our expanding reseller network," said Dave Abraham, CEO at Signify. "With the growth in remote and home working, the demand for strong two-factor authentication to replace basic passwords to access computer systems and sensitive data is a major priority for many organisations. Our hosted token and tokenless services allow resellers to rapidly deliver flexible and reliable 2FA without up front costs or ongoing management hassles."
