In the midst of all the recent interest around security in the cloud, UK-based Signify is celebrating its 10th anniversary of delivering two-factor authentication (2FA) as a hosted service. Signify has proven during this period that security as a service can deliver the reliability and security that customers expect. As a result many of Signify's early customers are still using its services today.
"When we started the company 10-years ago both two-factor authentication and hosted security services were innovative and probably ahead of their time," said Dave Abraham, CEO and joint founder of Signify. "We could see a definite niche in the market and since then, 2FA has become the de-facto standard for securing remote access to company networks. Over this same period, the business and operational benefits of hosted or cloud-based services, as they are now called, have become widely accepted.
"As well as growing year on year, we have also invested in staying one step ahead," adds Abraham. "We were the first UK company to offer both token and tokenless 2FA and recently launched the new Signify SaaS Login module helping customers secure access to their network or cloud-based applications such as Google apps or Salesforce.com using a single set of two-factor authentication credentials."
"We have been using Signify's hosted two-factor authentication service for 8 years now and are continually pleased with its all round reliability and security and the fast, responsive customer service and technical team," said Neil Binnie, Head of IT Infrastructure at Kier Group.
