Signify and AppGate secure applications and business critical information with cloud-based 2FA

16 December 2009

AppGate and Signify resellers can now offer their customers unified secure access to protected information with a new level of strong, cloud-based authentication. This follows the announcement of a strategic partnership between Signify and AppGate to integrate Signify's two-factor authentication (2FA) hosted services with AppGate's unified access security solutions.

Signify's cloud-based services make it easy and cost-effective for existing and new AppGate customers of any size to deliver flexible and secure remote working. Customers can use market-leading RSA SecurID token based authentication; or chose from a range of tokenless solutions, including software tokens and one-time passcodes delivered to mobile phones.

"The combination of AppGate's network security products and Signify's well-proven 2FA hosted services brings together two great technologies to give our clients secure and flexible remote access solutions," said David Hobson, Managing Director at GSS, a reseller for both Signify and AppGate. "We already have a number of successful joint deployments and a growing pipeline of organisations looking for flexible remote access with strong two-factor authentication."

"By working together, Signify and AppGate now offer their channel partners a great proposition to meet the demand for secure anytime, anywhere access to corporate resources," said Nikolas Georgii, Marketing Director at AppGate Network Security. "The initiative also helps our customers to comply with industry policies and guidelines that increasingly specify 2FA for controlled remote access."

"Our cloud-based service means that any AppGate customer, from small businesses to major multinational organisations, can rapidly deploy reliable and flexible token or tokenless 2FA to meet business objectives as well as individual user requirements," said Dave Abraham, CEO at Signify.
"We are looking forward to working with AppGate channel partners to roll out 2FA services to support their existing and new VPN deployments."

The Signify 2FA service integrates with AppGate's range of network security solutions including AppGate security servers that combine all the essential access control functions into one easy to use, cost-effective solution including mobile and fixed VPN and end-point security control.
