Hertfordshire Careers Service use Signify to secure cross agency access to sensitive information databases.
Local and central government, law enforcement, education and healthcare bodies all have the responsibility to control who can gain access to their highly sensitive information; from child protection data to court proceedings to patient records.
The drive to make government more 'joined up' means that people from multiple agencies need access to these critical databases from different locations across a variety of network links.
The 'owner' of the data cannot rely the source of the connection to validate the identity or trustworthiness of the remote user and needs be able to issue and revoke access rights to specific individuals without being an IT guru.
The Signify Identity Management Center (IMC) provides this control in an easy-to-use web format. It is proving its worth to Hertfordshire Careers Service, part of the nationwide Connexions Service which provides confidential professional advice and counselling to teenagers across the region.
